Richard Eiberg (LLB) brings unparalleled depth to LISSA’s legal team, backed by over 27 years of experience in South African immigration — including 25 years within the National Immigration Branch of the Department of Home Affairs.

Richard held several senior positions within Home Affairs, including:

  • Assistant Director: Immigration Services

  • Acting Deputy Director: Immigration Services

  • Participation in national-level DHA immigration forums, including quarterly National Immigration Branch meetings chaired by the Deputy Director-General.
    His background gives him a unique, internal understanding of immigration processes, legislative requirements, DHA policy, and strategic immigration objectives, insights few professionals outside the Department have.
